AHRI’s research programs are guided by the AHRI Research and Technology Committee, which acts as the industry’s think tank to provide research and analysis to support industry policy development
and decision making. The Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology Institute, Inc. (AHRTI) is a not-for-profit organization to conduct scientific research in the public interest. AHRTI researches is pre-competitive, basic research to provide HVACR manufacturers the scientific knowledge and design tools needed for their development of the next generation of energy efficient, environmentally friendly HVACR equipment.
AHRI is an active force on the priority issues that affect the HVACR industry in Washington, in the states, and around the globe. All AHRI members benefit from the association’s advocacy efforts. Our Policy
Department staff represents the industry before Congress, federal agencies, the courts and in international fora. While working to advance a positive legislative and regulatory agenda for our member companies, we are promoting the industry’s technological innovation, environmental stewardship and economic contribution to society.
