Certification

AHRI’s certification programs are globally recognized and industry respected. They comply with ISO/IEC Standard 17065 which sets the general international requirements for bodies operating product certification systems.

Because of this recognition, AHRI’s standards and certification programs are accepted and specified all over the world. With today’s high energy prices and the need to reduce peak electrical demand, the certification of performance is critical. It instills consumer confidence that manufacturers’ performance claims are indeed accurate.

Finance and Administrative

AHRI's finance and admin department provides systematic support in every area of the company. Provides administrative support in five areas of the business: accounting and finance, human

resources, payroll, membership and meeting planning. 

Research

AHRI’s research programs are guided by the AHRI Research and Technology Committee, which acts as the industry’s think tank to provide research and analysis to support industry policy development

and decision making. The Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Technology Institute, Inc. (AHRTI) is a not-for-profit organization to conduct scientific research in the public interest. AHRTI researches is pre-competitive, basic research to provide HVACR manufacturers the scientific knowledge and design tools needed for their development of the next generation of energy efficient, environmentally friendly HVACR equipment.

Public Policy

AHRI is an active force on the priority issues that affect the HVACR industry in Washington, in the states, and around the globe. All AHRI members benefit from the association’s advocacy efforts. Our Policy

Department staff represents the industry before Congress, federal agencies, the courts and in international fora. While working to advance a positive legislative and regulatory agenda for our member companies, we are promoting the industry’s technological innovation, environmental stewardship and economic contribution to society.

Statistics

AHRI also compiles valuable industry statistics that help our members better understand their position in the marketplace — and that help industry analysts determine the relative economic health of

segments of our industry. Among the association’s online resources, there is also a wealth of industry-leading statistics, legislative and regulatory information, and the latest industry initiatives and research.
